The greedy lion
It was a hot summer day. A lion was feeling very hungry.
He came out of his den and searched here and there. He could find only a small hare. He caught the hare with some hesitation. “This hare cannot fill my tummy” thought the lion.
As the lion was about to kill the hare, a deer ran that way. The lion became greedy. He thought, “Instead of eating this small hare, let me eat the big deer”. He let the hare go and went behind the deer. But the deer had vanished into the forest. The lion now felt sorry for letting the hare off.

Ագահ Առյուծը
Ամառային շոգ օր էր: Առյուծը շատ քաղցած էր:
Նա դուրս եկավ իր որջից և սկսեց փնտրել այս ու այն կողմը: Նա կարողացավ գտնել միայն մեկ փոքրիկ նապաստակ: Նա նապաստակին բռնեց որոշ դժվարություններով: Առյուծը մտածեց. “Այս նապաստակը հասատ չի կարող բավարարել իմ սովը”:
Առյուծը ցանկանում էր սպանել նապաստակին, սակայն հենց այդ պահին նրա դիմացով վազեց Եղնիկը: Առյուծը հենց այդ ժամանակ դարձավ ագահ: Նա կրկին մտածեց “փոքրիկ նապասատակին ուտելու փոխարեն ավելի լավ է, որ ուտեմ մեծ եղնիկին” Նապաստակին բաց թողեց ու գնաց եղնիկի հետևից։ Բայց եղնիկը արդեն անհետացել էր։ Առյուծն այժմ խղճում էր նապաստակին բաց թողնելու համար։
